"Flash: Electric Power Steering (EPS) Module Updates Customers must experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination and the vehicle must exhibit/set one or more of the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs):
• **U0420-00 - Invalid Data Received From Power Steering Control Module.**
• C2217-00 - Electric Power Steering Module Internal.
• C221F-00 - ECU Not Initialized.
• C1592-00 - Electronic Power Steering Motor Circuit.
• C1593-00 - Steering Torque Sensor Circuit. Customers may also experience the following:
• Loss of steering assist and/or a steering warning light on in the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC). NOTE: **If the power steering assist is lost, it will remain out until the next key cycle. This bulletin involves updating the EPS module with the latest available software. "
