This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician with information on vehicles that has a Diagnostic Trouble Code P0016 and Service Information diagnostics may not isolate the concern. Technician will need to inspect the crankshaft reluctor wheel is properly indexed on the crankshaft. Replace the crankshaft if you have the crankshaft reluctor wheel is not properly indexed.
