Some 2022 Transit vehicles may exhibit a DTC U0198:00 stored in the APIM but does not exhibit any customer concerns around the vehicle location or global positioning system (GPS). If the vehicle exhibits GPS or location concerns, continue with normal Workshop Manual (WSM) diagnostics. This DTC alone does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time. Inform customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle and engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected in August 2022. Replacement or reprogramming of the telematics control unit (TCU) will not resolve this condition. Monitor OASIS for additional information and inform the customer that service appointments for customers will be scheduled once the repair becomes available.
