Glossary “topcoat removal limit” Definition:
When making repairs on topcoats, no more than ? mil of clearcoat should be removed to maintain film intrgrity and durability on basecoat/clearcoat finishes, and no more than ? mil of clearcoat should be removed on single-stage finishes. When these limits are exceeded, appropriate clorcoat repairs are required.
