Special calibrated cylinder that may be used to inject a measured amount of refrigeration oil into the system.

Strainer located at the lower end of the oil pickup tube in sump to remove large contaminant particles.

1. A device used to cool oil or automatic transmission fluid. 2. A device used to cool race-car manual transmission and final-drive lubricants.

Thinning of oil in the crankcase, usually caused by fuel seepage past the piston rings from the combustion chamber.
