The pressure in the cylinder caused by expansion of the burning A/F mixture.

Glossary “combustion stroke” Definition:
The third stroke in the four-stroke cycle. The compressed A/F mixture is ignited in the combustion chamber and expands to push the piston down. This is the only stroke in the cycle which produces power.

Glossary “combustion chamber” Definition:
The space left within the cylinder when the piston is at the top of its compression stroke.
