Switch found only on manual transmission equipped vehicles that disables the speed control system when the clutch pedal is depressed. May also be referred to as a Speed Control Release Switch.

The locking teeth of a gear, onto which the shift collar engages to transfer power to the output shaft.

Glossary “clutch pushrod” Definition:
A rod that transfers linear motion between movable parts, that is, the clutch release bearing and the release plate.

Glossary “clutch release bearing” Definition:
A bearing moved by the clutch pedal linkage into the release arms to disengage the clutch. It is also called a throw-out bearing.

Large aluminum or iron casting that surrounds the clutch assembly. Located between the engine and the transmission, it is also referred to as the bell housing.
