O EVAP detecta purga excessiva. O teste pode inferir fluxo pela pressão ou vácuo do tanque em vez de medir vapor diretamente. É diferente de vazamento pequeno. A válvula pode ser investigada, mas o procedimento citado não considera o código prova de falha dela.
