Glossary “temperature vacuum switch” Definition:
Located in the air cleaner of the carburetor, it is used to controll vacuum to the EGR valve and other diaphragms. A cold air “lockout”. Responds to temperature of the inlet air heated by the exhaust manifold. Looks very much like a CWM.

telescoping gauges

Glossary “telescoping gauges” Definition:
Used to measure bore diameters and other clearances. They are normally offered in sizes ranging from fractions of an inch through six inches. Consists of two telescoping plungers, a handle and a lock screw. After the plungers have been allowed to expand against the bore, the lock is set and the plunger distance is measured with a outside micrometer.
