Glossary “precombustion chamber” Definition:
Second combustion chamber placed directly off the main combustion chamber, used to ignite a rich mixture of air and fuel which then ignites a lean mixture in the main combustion chamber. Commonly used in IDI diesel engines.

Device that controls emissions before the combustion event as with the O2 sensor.
