Glossary “oil pressure sending unit” Definition:
Is threaded into cylinder block oil passage. Sends an electrical signal to the gauge or light in the instrument cluster.

Glossary “oil pump” Definition:
A pump, driven directly or indirectly by the camshaft or crankshaft, that draws oil from the oil pan and forces it, under pressure, through the engine lubrication system.

Glossary “oil pressure gauge” Definition:
Instrument used to display the oil pressure of the engine lubrication system.

Removable part of the engine that contains the oil supply.
