independent front suspension (IFS)

Glossary “independent front suspension (IFS)” Definition:
Suspension system method of supporting the chassis on the wheels without the use of rigid axles where the movements of the two front wheels are not interdependent; one wheel does not force the other wheel to change its plane of rotation.
